Elizabeth Hanz believes that there is no greater strength in this world than when women come together and lift one another up.
Completing her 200-hour Yoga Alliance approved teacher training was a big step towards reaching her goal of creating a wellness practice that focuses on the mind, body, and spirit. Elizabeth is finishing up her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of New England in 2017. Some of her other training includes Yoga for Trauma through Greener Postures, Yoga for Recovery through Sea Change Yoga, and Yoga for Depression and Anxiety through Kripalu with Amy Weintraub.
Elizabeth relied heavily on therapy during her many years of infertility, and when she held her son in her arms, she knew her purpose was to become an LCSW and support others facing similar challenges. Elizabeth focused on her mental health throughout her infertility, yet she still lived for years in fight or flight mode. Once given the space for self-reflection, she realized how lost and broken she was from enduring multiple miscarriages and IVF. Through yoga, Elizabeth was able to piece herself back together and begin to heal. Elizabeth believes it is her life’s journey to hold space for women and families who have experienced infertility. Combining therapy with yoga and mindfulness, Elizabeth believes she can help women begin their rebuilding process through honoring their story and journey.
