Join Elizabeth April as we dig deep to build strength, awareness, and connection with our core and pelvic floor.
We will spend time working through mat-based barre movements, as well as yoga postures and breathwork to access these muscle groups. Connecting abdominal (especially transverse abdominals) work, inner thigh work, and breath and how it relates to the pelvic floor is important when regaining and maintaining strength as we age and/or after childbirth. Class will be done mostly low to the ground and accessible to all bodies, yet we will work deeply, safely, intelligently, and efficiently to create more stability and connection.
Elizabeth is a mama to two young boys, born 20 months apart from one another. Connecting to core and strengthening the pelvic floor after babies was a journey of discovery and consistent work. She believes that the relationship with your core and pelvic floor can exist deeply even if you might be feeling like it may be impossible to access again! She is also a yoga and barre teacher in Portland, Maine.
